Remway Procedure

Unlike many other design companies we like to keep things as simple as possible for our clients and after making initial contact with Remway Design we work on a 4 stage system:

Stage One

  • Visit the client at their home to discuss your ideas and the feasibility of your requirements. We provide this service free of charge
  • We will issue you with a fixed lump sum quotation for our design services with all areas itemised, this now leads to stage 2

Stage 2

  • Upon receipt of acceptance of our costs we will then attend site to carry out a full dimensional survey of your property to ascertain all horizontal and vertical dimensions
  • We will now prepare a set of Existing Plans of your home (as your home is now prior to any works commencing)
  • Preparation of the Proposed Plans (how your home will look once extended / converted or constructed). We provide 3D images of your home as standard at no extra cost.
  • Plans issued to the client for their comments and approval.
  • Preparation and Submission of the Planning Application. This now leads to Stage 3

Stage 3

  • Upon receipt of Planning Permission being granted, we will then produce the working drawings and Specifications necessary to achieve Building Regulations Approval.
  • Preparation of Material Quantity Schedules. These will include quantities of concrete for your Foundations, number of Bricks & Blocks required for construction of the proposed walls and Quantity of Roof Tiles / Slates for the Roof covering. We will also issue you with a Window and Door Schedule.
  • Copy of all drawings issued to client.
  • Preparation and Submission of the Building Regulations Application.

Stage 4

  • Upon receipt of the Approval Notice from the Local Authority, we then issue the Client with 3no. copies of all Approved Design Plans and you are now ready to build.
